the founder
I started FlameGrower the day I watched a Houston business owner get burned for $40K.
I'd spent years inside marketing agencies, watching small business owners across Houston buy the same buzzwords, the same six-month timelines, and the same boilerplate "strategy decks." Most never delivered. Most of those clients never came back.
So in 2016 I left, started FlameGrower, and built it on three rules:
- ✷ Houston business owners deserve enterprise-grade websites without the enterprise BS.
- ✷ Pick up the phone. Always.
- ✷ Build relationships, not retainers. Relationships keep retainers full.
Ten years in: 30+ Houston businesses. A flagship dental practice (Bayou City Smiles) that's been on our books for a decade. And on the side, I run HTown Handshakes — Houston's biggest entrepreneur network, 750+ members — because the best marketing is still a real handshake in a real room.
I'm not trying to be the biggest agency in Houston. I'm trying to be the one Houston business owners actually keep.
